Seyon Wall Putty

White cement based self-curing wall putty for interior and exterior walls with excellent adhesion to plaster / concrete surface. It has very good water resistance property and good compatibility with wide range of primers with topcoats. It exhibit excellent whiteness and brightness to walls. It also has very good anti-carbonation properties and excellent durability.

Application Procedure

Surface Preparation:

1. Remove all loose particles from the wall surface with the help of sandpaper or wire brush. The substrate shall be clean, free from dust, grease, and laitance.
2. Moisten the wall with clean water.
3. Mix Seyon Wall Putty with 36-38% clean water (100 parts wall putty with 36 parts water) slowly to make a paste. It is mandatory that water needs to be added to powder putty gradually to make a mix (preferably with mechanical stirrer) and not vice versa. Mix for 5 -10 minutes to form a homogeneous paste. This enhance ease of application and help achieve more coverage.
4. Prepare only the required quantity to be used within 2.5 hours after mixing with water. 5. Pre-wetting of the Substrate is essential before the application of Seyon Wall putty. The surface should be wet during application. This ensures higher bond strength, workability and higher coverage on the surface.

Application

1. Apply first coat on the wetted wall surface uniformly from down to upward direction using putty blade. This method ensures minimum wastage and proper finish.
2. After drying, rub the surface gently with a wet sponge or with a putty blade to remove the loose particles. Allow the surface to dry for at least 3 hours and then apply the second coat. Allow the surface to dry completely.
3. After drying, remove any type of mark with the help of a wet sponge or rub the surface gently with a putty blade. Allow to dry for overnight or for 10-12 hours.
4. The total thickness shall be limited to maximum 1.5 mm.
5. Gently level or sand the surface with a fine emery paper (500 Number).
